The Georgia Historical Society's Affiliate Chapter Program is a statewide network for local historical organizations located in the state of Georgia. Members include historical and genealogical societies, commissions, museums, foundations, archives, preservation organizations, churches, and patriotic organizations.

Affiliate organizations must complete the Affiliate Chapter Program Application in addition to submitting payment for the Affiliate Membership. Please call GHS at (912) 651-2125 to have an application faxed to you. Membership is not complete until the Application form has been completed and returned to GHS.

Member receives a complimentary annual subscription to all GHS publications, including the _Georgia Historical Quarterly_ and _Georgia History Today_, the Society's news magazine, and in addition, _Highlights for the Affiliate Chapters_, a newsletter designed with you organization in mind.

Affiliates can tap into GHS's vast resources for consultation visits, history programs, workshops, speakers and more. Affiliate members also are invited to submit nominations for the Lilla M. Hawes award recognizing the best book published on county or local Georgia history, as well as the Roger K. Warlick award recognizing outstanding achievement in the field of public history by Affiliate Chapters of the GHS.

Affiliate members also receive discounts on publications, and deep discounts for the resale of materials for a fundraiser.
